CLE
Credit Hours.
Original Seminar Course Length: 2.0 Hours. (1.0 Ethics; 1.0 General)
In recognition of Black History Month, the CBA’s Women in the Law Section’s Diversity Committee invites interested members and non-members to join a thoughtful discussion about the experience of practicing law and how work, family, and personal dynamics influence career trajectories for woman lawyers, particularly woman attorneys of color.
The co-authors of Left Out and Left Behind: The Hurdles, Hassles, and Heartaches of Achieving Long-Term Legal Careers for Women of Color, Paulette Brown, former ABA President and senior partner at Locke Lord, and Eileen Letts, partner at Zuber Lawler & Del Duca, will be joined by Rae T. Vann, partner at Carlton Fields and Dean Eboni Nelson, UConn School of Law, to address some of the persistent barriers for women lawyers of color. They will offer their views on whether there are new challenges and opportunities in the face of the present social justice movement.
CBA members must log in to the CBA website to access the self-study complimentary on-demand resources. These products are audio/video recordings and course materials from live CLE seminars that are three or more years old.
