About the Program
This seminar will provide an overview of the state’s antitrust act and “Little FTC Act” (CUTPA). It will also explore recent legal developments in these areas, including the framework for antitrust lawsuits under the per se or rule of reason following the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark decision in 2018 inOhio v. American Express Co.; the rise ofIllinois Brickrepealer statutes and the expansion of tools for indirect purchasers; and limitations on class action plaintiffs in the wake of the U.S. Supreme Court’s 2018 decision inChina Agritech, Inc. v. Resh. Finally, the seminar will cover expected trends in antitrust enforcement actions and consumer protection laws, including the recent Connecticut Supreme Court decision inSoto v. Bushmaster case.
