This seminar is intended as a bird’s eye view primer of several programs and administrative bodies, which younger lawyers are likely to encounter on behalf of their clients. While it is not intended as a granular deep dive, it will contain basic information that will help when clients seek advice about their rights to vital governmental benefit programs or for redress in front of administrative agencies. Generally: we will focus on Social Security Disability, Food Stamps, briefly 3 forms of State Cash benefits, Medicaid health ins., the rights of nursing home residents and those under the care of another, and how vulnerable elders can enforce their rights.
