About the Program
Presenters will define hate crimes and how they are handled in Connecticut. They will briefly summarize the Connecticut Hate Crimes Advisory Council’s (HCAC) recommendations to prevent and combat hate crimes and how these recommendations are being implemented, including the Council’s community awareness efforts, legislative priorities, and restorative justice.
You Will Learn
Attorneys interested in preventing and combating hate crimes and the protection of civil and human rights; law enforcement personnel, prosecutors, and other attorneys interested in improving the investigations and prosecutions of hate crimes; and individuals who would like to provide input and feedback to the HCAC.
Attorneys seeking NY CLE credit who have been admitted to the New York State Bar for two years or less must attend the live seminar for skills or ethics credit, a fully interactive videoconference, or simultaneous transmission with synchronous interactivity. Diversity, Inclusion and Elimination of Bias CLE credits are only available as non-transitional credits.
