In this session you will hear from experienced leaders in the title insurance industry about the intersection of title insurance and real estate transactions related to bankruptcy proceedings. This panel of title insurance experts will discuss Chapter XXVII of the Connecticut Standards of Title which is dedicated to bankruptcy issues, how a title company examines a title issue relating to “lien stripping” and insights into actual underwriting criteria applied by a title company when considering issuing a title policy on a property that has been impacted by a bankruptcy proceeding.
