During the June 2021 Special Session, Public Act No. 21-2, An Act Concerning Provisions Related to Revenue and Other Items to Implement the State Budget for the Biennium Ending June 30, 2023, made changes to when the state can file liens on real estate and recover from a recipient or his/her estate. This presentation would discuss those changes and how the changes may impact future benefit planning. (Provisions of Public Act No. 21-2 to be discussed: Sec. 454. Section 4a-16; Sec. 455.
